Notices

  • Late start (7pm - 8.30pm) at Ardingly for senior squad on Monday 13th May due to School Gala.  We accept that this is late for some of our younger swimmers so we are happy for them to be collected at 8pm if necessary.
  • Please remember to change your standing orders from May 2013.

We look forward to another year full of achievements for your swimmer/s.  We are always on the look out for help on the committee or on poolside.  It is a voluntarily run club afterall.  We are parents just like you.

Welcome to East Grinstead Swimming Club

 1912 - 2013

Welcome to EGSC, one of the oldest swimming clubs in the country. Last year we celebrated our centenary by swimming 100 miles in 50 hours on East Grinstead High Street!

The club is friendly and competitive and has over 250 regular swimmers with ages ranging from 6 to 50 years old.

We place great emphasis on the teaching of swimming and the development of good technique. Swimmers are divided into ability groups starting with the pre-squad teaching group, progressing through to the various competitive squads, mini, bronze and senior.

From the age of 10+, all club swimmers are actively encouraged to enter galas and club members regularly compete in galas at the local, county, regional and in some cases national level.

In addition to individual galas, the club participates in the Sussex League and this year secured promotion to Division One following three emphatic wins during the 2012 season.

The club is always looking for new members to join our club and if you are interested, we would urge you to attend one of our regular assessment sessions which can be arranged by contacting our Membership Secretary.
